Other Notable Car Races

24 Hours of Le Mans: One of the world’s most famous endurance automobile races held in mid-June at the Sarthe road racing circuit, near Le Mans, France, since 1923.  As of 1928, the winner has been the car that travels the most significant distance in 24 hours over the 8.3 miles/13.4-kilometer racing circuit.

Dakar Rally: A 12 stage race that begins in early January follows a route through Saudia Arabia’s major cities, starting and ending with the city of Jeddah.

Isle of Man: The Isle of Man Tourist Trophy is an annual motorcycle race run on the Isle of Man in May/June of most years. The event is often called one of the most dangerous racing events in the world.
