Viking River Cruises – Just like its ‘big brother’ Viking Ocean Cruises, Viking River has an excellent offering of European cruises. Take a cruise on one of the classics like the Rhine River or Danube River, or sail off the beaten path (or should we say, waterway) with a cruise on Ukraine’s Dnieper River or Luxembourg’s Moselle River.
Each port has several tours that are included in the price, and all are led by experienced guides who are locals of that town/port. Viking’s river subsidiary is an overall excellent option, winning more than 11 awards from Cruise Critic, including Best Overall Ship, Best Cabins, Best Dining, Best Service and Best Value-for-Money. One interesting thing to note is that Viking River Cruises does not accept any guest under 18. Due to this, the atmosphere is quieter and mostly couples or groups of friends traveling together.
